Biography

She captained the Opals to a silver medal at Athens in 2004 and Trish Fallon’s connection to the Australian women’s national team continues today.

As a player, Trish represented her country on 224 occasions and was part of medal-winning campaigns in Atlanta 1996, Sydney 2000 and finally in Greece.

Today, she is team manager of the Opals continuing her contribution to the program and its culture.

She enjoyed success in both Europe and in the WNBA with Minnesota Lynx, selected with pick 19 in the 1999 WNBA draft, and later the Phoenix Mercury.

At home in the WNBL, she was a powerhouse with the Sydney Flames and a star in two championships including in 1997 where she was crowned Grand Final MVP.

In 1999-00, she tied for league MVP with Lauren Jackson.

Trish was inducted to the Australian Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010 alongside long-time team mate and great friend Sandy Brondello.
