Biography

Widely regarded as one of the GOATs of global basketball, Sue Bird has won and done it all.

Drafted with the No.1 pick in the 2002 draft was just the beginning of an incredible WNBA career with the Seattle Storm which would feature 13 All-Star selections, 8 All-WNBA teams and 4 championships.

She is the only WNBA player to win championships in three different decades.

The superstar point guard played much of her career with fellow iconic Storm legend, Lauren Jackson.

Her impact on the league was recognised in WNBA 10th, 15th, 20th and 25th anniversary teams.

Sue’s dominance extended overseas where she was a five-time champion in Russia, five-time EuroLeague campion and twice a Europe SuperCup winner.

Representing her country on the international stage, Sue was part of a phenomenal five (2004, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020) Olympic gold-medal campaigns. At World Cup competition, she won four (2002, 2010, 2014) gold medals and one (2006) bronze.
