Marianna Tolo has earned a reputation as a big-time player and proved a mainstay for the Opals at international level in recent years.
Born and raised in Mackay, the experienced centre and two-time Olympian has continually stood up and led her country at major tournaments including the Tokyo Olympics and 2022 Women’s World Cup in Sydney.
Mariana has enjoyed a successful career in the WNBL playing solely in the ACT, first for the AIS then later Canberra where she’s won four titles with the Capitals, twice been named in the All-Star Five and in 2017 took out Defensive Player of the Year.
Abroad, Marianna took the court for the Los Angeles Sparks in the WNBA and has enjoyed sustained success in Europe playing in France, Turkey and Spain.
Community minded, Marianna is a Lifeline Canberra Ambassador and gives selflessly to a range of causes and initiatives.
