Stephanie Reid

BRAxAUS-2696

Steph Reid is a poster girl for persistence and creating her own path.

The point guard from Frankston in Victoria didn’t complete the traditional basketball pathway of representing her state or country at junior level or attending the AIS/Centre of Excellence on a scholarship.

Reid earned a scholarship at the University of Buffalo and thrived at college level as she honed her skill set.

She began her WNBL career as a development player at Dandenong then was part of Southside Flyers inaugural team before moving to Townsville Fire where she has established herself as a certified star of the competition.

Reid won her first WNBL championship in 2022-23 playing a critical role in the Fire’s success.

She has represented Australia in friendlies against Japan (2022) and China (2023) but makes her FIBA debut as an Opal in Brazil.

Did You Know?

Reid set an NBL1 record in the competition’s inaugural South season in 2019 by sinking a record 50 points (including seven threes) for her home club Frankston Blues.
